Over the years, I've had the great opportunity to compose original processionals and recessionals for the weddings of relatives and friends, which have been very fun to write and have meant one less weekend spent with Canon in D and Trumpet Voluntary (which are great - don't get me wrong - but you can get tired of playing them!).After I'd written six such pieces, I combined them into one work, "Six Festive Hymns." Below are movements I and VI, written for the wedding of Michael and Beth Mohr.
